Oliver Collinge Climb - School relay

A collaborative attempt to get to the top

The Oliver Collinge Climb is a relay of students from local Primary and Secondary schools to attempt to get a replica of a Coiner's Coin (the baton) up the 5 miles to the top of the hill.

Entry is free, students of all ages from Reception to secondary are eligible to take part although there may need to be a draw for places if entry is over-subscribed.

Fuller information and entry details will be circulated through local schools later in the year.

The legs of the relay are graded by age so the younger students will complete shorter distances (typically 10-20m at the start).

Younger students will need to be escorted to their start position on the lower part of the hill. Further up students will be dropped off at their start position by one bus and picked up as soon as they finish their leg by a second bus.

Registration and Start line is at Royd Ices, Mytholmroyd

Registration: 07:45-08:15

Start time: 0830
